This one was put down in 2005 when you were probably worried about something completely irrelevant and has been quietly getting its act together ever since. Eighteen years in a hogshead, out at cask strength, smells like a butcher's shop that moonlights as a toffee factory. Big, meaty, sulphurous in the best possible way -- the kind of whisky that makes people who claim to hate sulphur suddenly go very quiet. Eighty on the shelf. Genuinely hard to argue with.
