Glasgow 1770 Distillery, which opened its doors in 2017, is a relatively recent addition to the world of Scotch whisky, situated in Glasgow, Scotland (who woulda thunk it). It has the name of 1770, a significant year in the history of distillation in the city. This particular Bottling has been finished in the delicious French desert wine Sauternes 

Nose: Lots of sweet, smokey and nutty notes (candied peanuts) as well as some Umami nori notes and if you sit there for a while, honey glazed ham

Palate: Sweet smoke, sweet nutty notes come back, some nice citrus oil and fruits cooked in butter and brown sugar 

Finish: Long and lingering, with notes peat and sweet peanut brittle
