The Finnish distillery Kyrö is well-known for their rye whisky and Napue Gin, with a focus on using ingredients that are acquired locally and sustainably. It was established in 2014 and has become loved for its creative approach to the manufacture of spirits. 

This specific release has been smoked using Finnish freshwater peat in the same 100-year-old barn for 24hrs making for a distinctive mossy peaty flavour to the malt. The whisky has been vatted together using mainly Kyrö Peat Smoke New American Oak, Ex-Bourbon barrels and additionally some Kyrö Malt Ex-Bourbon barrels. The exact proportions vary batch by batch.

Nose: Stewed apple laid out on freshly cut flat pack furniture

Palate: Oak and spice right at the start. Fades into mezcal mineral and mossy earthy smoke

Finish: Honey sweetness and smouldering Scandi designer furniture
