The Finnish distillery Kyrö is well-known for their rye whisky and Napue Gin, with a focus on using ingredients that are acquired locally and sustainably. It was established in 2014 and has become respected for its creative approach to the manufacture of spirits. 

This specific release is inspired by the traditional smoking methods in Finland and the rye is smoked by alder wood in a 100 year old barn. Finished off in a combo of Ex-bourbon, French oak and new American white oak barrels, all of which enhance its peppery rye goodness!

Nose: Earthy forest floor and freshly baked rye bread with butter.

Palate: Orange oil, vanilla, additional pepper, and a slow-building dry smoke. Like licking flat pack furniture (if you're into that)

Finish: Light smoke, bit of an interesting funk (we love the funk)
