Situated in South Ayrshire, Scotland, Lochlea Distillery is renowned for its distinctive method of producing single malt Scotch whiskies. Located on an operational farm, Lochlea adheres to the 'field-to-bottle' philosophy by cultivating barley on the property and utilising water from a historic borehole. Their careful production method yields a smooth, flavourful and fruity spirit thanks to a lengthy fermentation time and specially made copper pot stills.

This specific release has been aged in Ex-Islay casks, conveniently after talented ex-Laphroaig distillery manager John Campbell joined their team. Hmmmm wonder where they got their casks from... 

Nose: Honey, vanilla, peat smoke, and dried fruits.

Palate: Sweet smoke, honey, and spice.

Finish: Long and lingering, with notes of honey, vanilla, wood, and peat smoke.
