White Peak Distillery, founded in 2016 in the Peak District, England, is known for its artisanal English whisky, including the distinctive "Wire Works". This relatively new yet highly respected distillery. They prioritise sustainability and quality and have fast become a notable player in the English whisky and craft spirits scene. The Wire Works bottles are inspired by an unspooling bit of wire, a reference to the fact that the distillery is based in an old wire factory.

This Specific release is a lightly peated whisky made up by the distillery's signature shaved, toasted, and re-charred French wine barriques cask combo with the addition of a variety of bourbon barrels.

Nose: Orchard fruit leads with crisp apple and candied citrus zest. Sweet Pear Drops and buttery fudge follow, joined by crushed almonds, vanilla cream, and roasted barley.

Palate: rich layers of honeyed stone fruit and caramelised nuts, accompanied by hints of hot cross buns, a touch of anise, and chocolate-covered orange slices. Beneath it all lies a creamy maltiness, complemented by abundant charred oak.

Finish: Subtle peat smoke lingers gently, balancing the sweet and creamy essence of vanilla custard with a touch of gingery warmth in the finish.
